Teacher’s corner:
French : In preparation for the writing assignment on our Placemat activity we analyzed 3 paragraph exemplars to determine what makes it a “4”, a “3” and a “2”. We compiled a list of what needs to be in a paragraph in order to make it a “4”:

-       Detailed topic sentence
-       Detailed concluding sentence
-       As many details as possible in the main body of the paragraph
-       Reasons explaining likes and dislikes
-       Synonyms and antonyms of J’aime
-       Transition words to create flow
-       Rich vocabulary
-       Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation

This list will be made into a rubric for students to check against when they are writing. Students are also using given exemplars to guide their writing.
