Teacher’s corner:
1. Study
science notes.
2. Choose
a book in English for the book report. It has to be a novel that you haven’t
read yet. It cannot be a graphic novel, nor any of the Harry Potter books.
3. Work
on multiplication tables
Science: We
have started our Chemistry unit. We watched a video describing physical and
chemical changes of matter, physical and chemical characteristics of matter and
what matter is.
Math: This
week we reviewed multiplication of 2-digit numbers by a 1-digit number studied
in Grade 4. We studied the algorithm of multiplying 3-digit numbers by a 1-digit
number. That’s the task students have been working on:
FLA: This
week we started working on another past tense: Imparfait. We discussed how
Passé Composé and Imparfait are different and how they translate into English.
ELA: We
have concluded our novel study Swindle by Gordon Korman. All the activities
that we have done throughout the novel study will be included in the individual
book report that students will start on Monday.
