Teacher’s corner:

Today we had a chance to participate in a conversation with Elder Randy. Elder Randy talked to the students about how Treaty 7 came about, his role as a council member for 24 years of Kainai First nations (Southern Alberta, near Lethbridge). Elder Randy invited students to ask questions and shared a few artifacts.

Math: Today we started working on a long division. Students had to think about the following questions:
1.     If you know your multiplication facts (times tables), does it mean that you automatically know division facts?
2.     What can dividend and a divider be in order to have a quotient close to 10?

We explored short division as a first strategy.

Please, keep on practising times tables.

Glee Club starts on Wednesday, March 4th at 11:45am
