le 15 janvier

1. Today we did our math quiz on sorting quadrilaterals. After the quiz we worked on the drawing of quadrilaterals (on object, animal, person or landscape). When the drawing is done we had to write the description of the  quadrilaterals, then take a video of ourselves describing the drawing. The video is posted on IRIS (Clark - Ilene -Mme)

2. Today we played a game in grammar to practise Passé Composé (past tense ) of the verb 'aller' we also sang songs to memorize the verb.  (Tyce)

3. Today in science, we continued to work on our shoebox house. It has to be finished by next Friday.(Sloane)

4. Tomorrow is special lunch. (Georgia)

5. Instead of PE, we played board games with room 17. (Joe)

1. Tomorrow is math quiz on sorting quadrilaterals.

2. Today we continued our shoebox houses in science (Christina)

3. Today in math, we continued to work on our drawing of an object or an animal made of quadrilaterals. (Caylee)

Le 10 janvier

Teacher’s corner:

1.  Have your French self-evaluation notebook signed by parents. Bring back to school on Monday.

2.     Gymnastics starts on Monday. Please wear comfortable clothing, have a hair tie ready if your hair is long, no jewelry.  

3.     Math quiz on sorting quadrilaterals is on Wednesday.

Le 9 janvier

1. In social studies, first, we practised our presentations and then we presented in groups of 4. (Erica)

2. In PE we did a warm up running around the gym and then we played revenge tag and bench ball. (Victoria)

3. Today we had music share. Mme Edget and Yuahn shoed us their music shares. (Oly)

4. Today we continued doing our math questions in the book. (Hope)

Le 8 janvier

1. Today we started with PE and we were unable to do it too well because of yesterday's exercises. (Zan)

2. Tomorrow we will be presenting our social studies project. Finish at home, if need be. (Cohen)

3. Today in science we continued building our shoebox houses. (Christina)

4. We continued building quadrilaterals from the exercises in text books. (Joe)

5. We did self-evaluation for speaking speak French in class. We need to improve! (Silvia)

le 7 janvier

Teacher’s corner:

Physical Education: students worked in partners, practising warm-up exercises leading to gymnastics. Gymnastics are starting this week. Please wear comfortable clothing and a have a hair tie ready if your hair is long.

Maths: Today we started working on sorting quadrilaterals according their characteristics.

Goal 1: to know what quadrilateral is and to know their names: square, rectangle, trapeze, parallelogram, rhombus (losange),

Goal 2: to be able to sort the quadrilaterals according to their characteristics.

For example: quadrilaterals that have parallel sides and have equal sides or quadrilaterals that have equal sides but no parallel sides.

Social Studies: we are finishing up our project on natural resources of a Canadian region. Monday,  Tuesday and Wednesday, we are finalizing the project and Thursday and Friday we present.

le 6 janvier

1. Today in English we read chapters 15 and 16 and we started practising mini skits. (Christina)

2. At the start of the day we talked about winter vacation and then we wrote about them in the past tense, Passé Composé (Joe)

3. In science we continued working on our houses and we should finish them in 8 days. (Elsie)

4. In social studies we had to finish all the questions, start the slides and draw an animal from the region if everything is done. The whole project is to be done on Wednesday. Presentations begin Thursday. (Oly)
